THE FALLEN HERO

Greatness was for him to kiss ever since he drew breath
The world was for him to rule if he dared
A mighty being imposed upon others to bear and even nurture
But a spiteful social order would not let the great one reign
For it had become the paradigm to slay the seeds
Before it blossomed into a magnificent tree
And a mystifying way they went about to destroy the man
For when he was on top of the world
They snatched it  from beneath him asking for more
When he had conquered the fiercest competition
They labelled the victory as a fluke, they asked for more
They took from him the strength to stand
When he was set to take off into the seventh heaven
Could this defenseless soldier fend off the relentless assault
Fatigued of having his accolades undermined
Tired of being asked for more
His insides left him as he walked as a man deprived of destiny
Another warrior lost in a merciless slaughter
The ill fortuned hero fell to the society
The man destined to rule the world, was alas ruled out by it
